Stiliana's art is inspired by the many changeable moods of the skies and weather of the English and Scottish coasts. Reflecting facets of the British character that fascinate her, these contrast especially with the weather of her homeland, Bulgaria. She is moved by the drama, peace and serenity of these vistas.
Born in Bulgaria to a famous artist, sculptor and actor father, Jordan Alexiev, she studied print-making and computer design. The fall of communism affected her deeply and freed her from conventional restrictions. Continually pushing new boundaries and experimenting with new techniques, her most recent work is created on sheets of aluminium, scratched, polished and painted allowing her to work with dimension as well as image.
Her work ranges from around £650-£2500.
