Maggie Shaw

Gesso and acrylic on board or canvas. Average 100 x 100cm.

Maggie Shaw studied at Cheltenham College of Art and has tutored at Stroud College of Art for many years.

Her paintings are an attempt to capture the transient, continually evolving nature of the earth. They depict those elusive moments when time seems to stand still ~ frozen. She paints the fundamental bones of the earth ~ how we feel it, rather than how we see it. She paints the light and air and asks the viewer to feel with emotions rather than simply look.

Maggie has exhibited widely throughout the West Country and in London. Her work is in numerous private and a few discerning corporate collections.
