Ketut Ada was born in 1976 in Kedewatan in Bali, Indonesia, and was educated at the Senior High School of Art in Ubud, the artistic centre of Bali.
Since his childhood Ada has considered painting to be at the very heart of his life. His artistic education was formed by the Balinese classical style but he soon moved away from this into the emerging young abstract movement. Often working with his fingers as well as brushes he works with different texture, materials and form. His work is influenced by his family, the gods and the serenity of Bali: love and passion. His work is now in private and corporate collections throughout Asia, France, Switzerland and, more recently, the UK.
