Judy McKenna

"The paintings are about light, the seasons, weather, atmosphere and mood. They attempt to describe the 'something else' of landscape. Imbibed, instilled, absorbed, half remembered or half forgotten, real or imagined abstractions of my surroundings."

Judy was born in the 1960s and trained as a mature student in Cheltenham, gaining a BA Fine Art in 2000. She has participated in various local exhibitions and continues to exhibit with us at the Battersea Affordable Art Fair. Working in oil and mixed media on paper but mostly on canvas and board Judy's work can be abstract with a bold use of colour but may also reflect the landscape around her.
